Wyeth Biopharma - Central Energy Plant

Wyeth BioPharma's Andover Campus is committed to the successful development, manufacturing, and commercialization of recombinant protein biopharmaceuticals. Beacon Piping provided upgrades to Wyeth Biopharma's Central Energy Plant's boilers. Due to the sensitivity of this project, there was potential to knock out the plant steam if Beacon Piping difficulties. Planned construction activities included coordinated shut downs under the client's discretion. During construction, work was interchanged between the operating boilers in order for the project to be completed without disruption to Wyeth.
The upgrade included instrumentation & control of all new controls to two central energy plant boilers. The client's schedule was met and CAD drawings were meticulous and consistent.
CAD testing packages were prepared by Beacon Piping with great detail. The plans displayed pipelines and systems that were tested to specific pressures. The project was deemed a success because it was well organized and "meticulously" completed.
